In Time for St. Patrick’s Day: Florence’s Irish Festival

Saturday, March 17:  ST. PATRICK DAY AT THE HARD ROCK CAFE.  Via Brunelleschi 1.  From 12 noon to 12 midnight the café will greet diners with themed decorations, DJ sets featuring Irish folk music, British rock in addition to live performance of Irish folk dancing on stage.  The special is the St. Paddy’s burger: a cheeseburger with a whiskey and bacon sauce served with slice of tomato and a side of French fries.  Guinness beer is also available.

Friday, March 16 – Saturday, March 24: THE 21th ANNUAL IRISH FESTIVAL. FLOG Auditorium, via M. Mercati 24/b.  7:30 pm – 1 am. Tickets range from €7 to €14.

Celtic culture will be heartily celebrated at this year’s Irish Festival just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. Irish music, cuisine, and cultural showcases will be presented for the public’s enjoyment. Food stands will sell staples like Irish stew, salmon, and fish and chips as well as famous Irish beer, whiskey, and Irish coffee.  Each evening, the festivities will culminate with a concert of Irish music.
