Campo di Marte’s Fiera di Primavera

Only of Florence’s best-loved markets, La Fiera di Primavera, is returning on Sunday, April 22 to the area around the Franchi Stadium from 9 am to 9 pm.

This traditional event, held every spring for the past 17 years, is the largest market in the city, featuring 300 vendors from different Florentine neighborhoods.  Stands clustered around viale Maratona and viale Manfredo Fanti in Campo di Marte will offer clothing, leather goods, accessories and shoes in addition to plants and flowers, housewares, toys, prints, paintings, cosmetics and perfumes, even pets looking for a home.

A special section will be dedicated to fresh fruits and vegetables in addition to cheeses plus typical Tuscan cooked dishes as well as specialties from other Italian regions.  Expect to find food trucks too, which will sell street food ranging from roast pork sandwiches and fried fish to ice cream and brigidini (anise wafers)
