The Florence International Student Center

Purpose

The mission of the Florence International Student Center (FISC) is to provide an independent meeting ground apart from clubs and bars for college students of all disciplines and nationalities. Designed to be both functional and inviting, it offers an alternative space for young expatriates to meet, study and participate in various social and cultural events alongside Italian students. The location on via de’ Benci is meant to be a positive substitute for nightlife around Florence. KOME has donated the space on the premises, which has a separate entrance and is independent from the sushi restaurant.

  • Open to students with International Student, school IDs or a download of the FISC card. All forms of identification entitle students to a 10% discount for lunch and dinner at KOME from Sunday through Thursday.

Hours
Monday – Saturday: 12 noon – 3 pm, 7 – 11:30 pm** Sunday: 7 – 11:30 pm
**Between 3 and 7 pm, university faculty can reserve the space for lectures, classes, or other functions.
