Florence State-Run Museums Open for Ferragosto 2018

Many Florence landmarks and museums will be closed for the Italian mid-summer holiday, August 15, but the following will be accessible to visitor that day in the city of the Renaissance:

The Uffizi, the Accademia and two Pitti Palace museums (Palatine Gallery, Modern Art Gallery) – will be open from 8:15 am to 6:50 pm, while the Fashion and Costume Gallery will remain closed.

Bargello National Sculpture Museum, San Marco and the Medici Chapels – open from 8:15 am – 4:50 pm.

Boboli and Bardini Gardens – open from 8:15 am – 7:30 pm.

Archeological Museum and the Palazzo Davanzati Renaissance Home Museum – open from 8:30 am – 1:50 pm.

San Salvi and Fuligno refectories – open from 8:15 am – 1:50 pm.

A church that is part of a Benedictine monastery, San Miniato al Monte, can also be visited on Ferragosto from 1 to 7 pm.
