June ’17 Free Museum Sunday

On Sunday, June 4, no admission will be charged at Florence’s state-run museums, while city-run museums are accessible at no cost to residents of the greater metropolitan area.

So, take the opportunity to visit, for free: the Uffizi Gallery; the Palatine Gallery, the Porcelain Museum, the Costume Gallery and the Silver Museum in the Pitti Palace; the Academy Gallery; the Bargello (National Sculpture Museum), the Archeological Museum; the Medici Chapels and Palazzo Davanzati.

Residents of the greater Florence metropolitan area are also granted free entrance to civic museums, which include the Church of Santa Maria Novella (1 – 5:30 pm), Brancacci Chapel (1 – 5 pm), the Novecento Museum of 20th Century Art, the Romano Foundation of Medieval Art (1 – 5 pm) as well as the Bardini museum (11 am – 5 pm), Palazzo Vecchio (9 am – 11 pm) and Arnolfo’s Tower (9 am – 9 pm).
