Man Strips Before Michelangelo’s David

A 28 year-old Spanish tourist who once took off all his clothes at the Uffizi Gallery in front of The Birth of Venus, has now made an appearance at the Gallery of Academia in Florence.

The young man knelt before Botticelli’s painting in 2014, scattering petals. This time he was naked for the second time holding a still pose by Michelangelo’s David and appeared to be shouting something incomprehensible.

Thousands of visitors, who had waited a long time in the queue to see the artist’s work, were horrified.

Members of security attempted to cover the young man, while others in charge phoned the local police.

It would seem the man is already known to the Florence police due to some previous indecent acts in a public place frequented by minors. (karen gee)
