A Get-Together for Peace & Hope in English

St. Mark’s English Church is hosting “A Time to Lament, a Time to Hope” on July 11 at 8 pm. The gathering aspires to uplift the Florentine community during this period of global distress and uncertainty. 

Welcoming all faiths, St. Mark’s is an Anglican church located on Via Maggio 16-18. In an attempt to alleviate the tension of discrepancies in the world, St. Mark’s is organizing a gathering for people to focus on hope. The get-together will feature music, art, poetry, and the serenity of silence to create a supportive space to bring others together. The event will last about one hour, concluding at 9 pm.

The Church emphasizes that the intention of this event is not to be political, divisive, or contentious. It is simply a time for English speakers to come together and create a harmonious environment in a moment of political and social disruption in the world. (Mia Schaeperkoetter)
