Corri La Vita (Run for Life) Run & Walk 2025

Sunday, Sept. 28: CORRI LA VITA (Run for Life) charity walk and run. Starts at viale Lincoln in the Cascine Park (9:15 am) and ends at Piazza della Signoria.
It is truly the inhabitants of the beautiful city of Florence that keep it running, and now it is time for the people to run for their city in a moving demonstration of solidarity, health, and community in the annual Corri La Vita, or Run for Life. Over the past two decades, the proceeds (over 9 million euro) from this annual non-competitive sports event, has provided quality care to over 500,000 women suffering from breast cancer through the funding of projects based on prevention, early detection, and treatment of the disease.
To accommodate differing preferences, participants are given the option of two unique routes to choose from. For those who appreciate a challenge, the 11 km (6.8 mi) trail is the perfect choice; for those who prefer to admire the path’s attractions at a more leisurely pace, the 6 km (3.7 mi) one is ideal.
Until September 28, the event’s coveted t-shirts, wrapped in 100% biodegradable packaging and signed by designer Salvator Ferragamo, will be available for collection through a minimum donation of €10. The color chosen this year is a dark powder blue; see venues when the t-shirts can be purchased at the end of this article. For those who are not able to make a physical donation at one of the distribution points, an online donation on the website www.corrilavita.it will still guarantee free delivery throughout Italy, while supplies last.
A great perk of Corri La Vita is that participants who are wearing the official t-shirt are allowed free entrance to some of the city’s cultural landmarks, including the basilica of Santa Croce, Palazzo Vecchio, the Botanical Garden (Orto Botanico) Santa Maria Novella, the Museo Novecento, of 20th and 21st Centurty Art, Forte Belvedere, the Stibbert Museum, the Orsanmichele church and museum, Ferragamo Museum and the Salvatore Romano Foundation of Medieval Sculpture and Artifacts and others (click here for complete list) and the Florence Rowing Club (Società Canottieri). Free admission is also extended to families at the Pinocchio Museum Experience, the Toy Museum (Museo del Giocattolo) and Hzero Museum of Miniature Train Sets.
In addition, the Villaggio della Salute (Village of Health) will be hosted from Friday 26 (inauguration 12 noon) to Sunday 28 in the Piazza della Repubblica, offering exercise, yoga and pilates classes and consultations with doctors. Free mammograms at the ISPRO mobile unit will be available on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 in piazza Signoria.
