Designer Shopping for a Cause at the ANT Charity Fair

Come join the what everyone is talking about, the Associazione Nationale Tumori (ANT) is hosting its fundraiser fair filled with designer clothes at wholesale or less prices from Friday, November 16 to Sunday, November 18 at the Palazzo Borghese (Via Ghibellina 110, Florence). Hours are 10 am – 7 pm; free admission.  For a €25 donation, the prospective shoppers for a cause can get in on Thursday, November 15 from 7:30 onward to beat the crowd receive a complimentary aperitivo in the bargain.

The ANT fair will be filled with booths of clothing, accessories, leather good, and perfumes donated by 80 different fashion companies, for example Salvatore Ferragamo, Gucci, Patrizia Pepe, Valentino, Trussardi, Armani, Blue Marine, Emilio Pucci, Ermanno Scervino, Moschino, Rocco Barocco, La Martina, and Tod’s. The money collected at the market goes directly toward ANT to and their patients their associates help 24/7 every day of the year, including holidays.

ANT is a non-profit organization dedicated to free care for cancer patients, and their families. There are 522 employees: doctors, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, physiotherapists, pharmacists, other volunteers offer specialist home visits, including hygienic care and linen change, and provide transportation for patients from their home to the hospital if necessary. The event that links the world of fashion to that of solidarity in Florence is a yearly pre-holiday tradition.  (sienna kirk)
