‘Fiori a Fiorenza’ Photo Competition

A positive initiative that is going ahead during the Coronavirus emergency in Florence is “Fiori a Fiorenza,” (Flowers in Florence), a competition that will award prizes to the best photos of potted plants and flowers blooming on city terraces.

Under the auspices of Florence city parks councilperson Cecilia Del Re, photos can be sent in to Società Toscana di Orticoltura garden club, which, by chairing a jury of specialists and members of the general public, will choose the semi-finalists.  There time (up to June 7) to participate in “Fiori a Fiorenza,” for details how to do so, visit the Società Toscana di Orticoltura website.  There will be 10 winners selected, two per Florence neighborhood.  (rosanna cirigliano)
