Be prepared to be taken through a journey through clandestine love affairs, debts, and domestic silences, exploring the family as a dynamic territory where everyone is, ultimately, a perfect stranger.
From raw animation to global live action, the festival will also celebrate director and visionary Yeon Sang-ho, who explored new worlds of the horror genre with the cult film Train to Busan. This journey will begin with the social violence of The King of Pigs (Wednesday, March 25, 5:30 pm) and the fanaticism of The Fake (Friday, March 20, 11 pm) before exploding into the zombie apocalypse that has shocked the world: from Seoul Station (Saturday, March 21, 11 pm) to the European premiere of adrenaline-fueled Peninsula (Monday, March 23, 3 pm).
Between the political superpowers of Psychokinesis (Friday, March 27, 3 pm) and the murky atmosphere of the new thriller The Ugly (Italian premiere, Wednesday, March 25, 8:30 pm), Yeon Sang-ho will receive the city’s official tribute with the presentation of the parchment by the City of Florence and the festival award.
