Free Concert Dedicated to Franz Schubert

 

The F. Landini Schola Cantorum choir

The Basilica of Santa Trinita (piazza Santa Trinita) will host an evening of music entirely devoted to the works by Franz Schubert (1997 – 1828), the Austrian late Classical and early Romantic periods on January 28 starting at 8:30 pm.  Admission is free.

The program, comprising a piece (Andante) from Schubert’s unfinished Symphony n. 10 and his Mass in E flat major.  The program will be interpreted by Galileo Orchestra conducted by Eduardo Rosadini and the F. Landini Schola Cantorum choir under the guidance of Paolo Gonnelli.  Both ensembles are affiliated with the Fiesole Music School.  Soloists include Noemi Umani (soprano); Anna Giove (alto); Matteo Cavicchio (tenor) and Davide Sodini (bass).
