Free Tram T2 Service

Two weeks of free transport on the newly-christened Tram T2 Vespucci line will be available to the public starting February 11 when service begins.

The line is 5.3 kilometers (3.3 miles) long, with 12 stops. It starts at Piazza dell’Unità, stopping at the Santa Maria Novella train station and viale Belfiore to enter Novoli, passing the headquarters of the Tuscan regional government, and moves down viale Guidoni before arriving at Florence’s Amerigo Vespucci airport (known as Peretola thanks to the neighborhood).  See route map.

The new Tram T2 line will be inaugurated by Italian president Sergio Mattarella on February 11, and a ticket to travel the route will be not be necessary until February 25.
