Kid’s Events for a Spooky 2025 Halloween

The Anglo-Saxon tradition of carving a pumpkin for Halloween will take place at the Villa Ventaglio Park (via Giovanni Aldini 12, near Piazza delle Cure) on Thursday, October 23 from 10:30 am onwards. All can participate in the fun while listening to a themed book reading in English. The event is free but everyone is asked to bring their own pumpkin.
The Children’s Lending Library is then holding its annual Halloween Party on Saturday, October 25 from 4 to 6 pm either in the garden (weather permitting) or the undercroft of the St. James American Church, via B. Rucellai 9. The entrance fee for members is €3 per child and €5 per family; non-members €5 per child. Children under two and all accompanying adults are free. All kids come dressed up in Halloween costumes, and are invited to explore a haunted house. Other activities include face painting, games and crafts. Decorated Halloween cakes and cupcakes will be sold, along with refreshments.
The proceeds will go towards maintaining the library’s large collection of children’s books in English and funding other activities and parties organized throughout the year.
