Monte Sharp Unveils Its Flagship Store

Just steps away from the iconic Ponte Vecchio, emerging Italian luxury brand Monte Sharp has unveiled its flagship store at Via Lambertesca 11R.

Founded in 2022 under the creative direction of architect-designer Alfredo di Mauro in collaboration with Gianna Soria, Monte Sharp positions itself at the intersection of luxury accessories and ready-to-wear. With the opening of its first store, customers are invited to immerse themselves in the brand’s creative vision – unconventional femininity reimagined through geometric precision and bold silhouettes.

Monte Sharp stands out not only for its unique brand identity but also for its philosophy. Every piece is designed and manufactured in Italy in collaboration with Local Tuscan artisans, placing emphasis on ethical production and practices. The brand’s dedication to eco-conscious fashion extends further through their initiative “The Almond Blossom Project”, which repurposes deadstock inventory from major fashion houses – such as FENDI, Dior, and Moschino – into original garments and accessories. Monte Sharp provides a hybrid of sustainability, craftsmanship and original aesthetic which places the brand at the forefront of a new wave of Italian luxury – without sacrificing quality.

From production to packaging, the brand is committed to prioritising a process that shifts away from fast fashion and encourages customers to engage with slower, mindful consumerism. Garments are produced in limited quantities in alignment with the availability of the deadstock fabrics used, giving every design a uniqueness and sense of individuality that sets the brand apart from fast fashion retailers.

The aesthetic of Monte Sharp’s clothing blends classic Italian tailoring with an enigmatic, modern edge, which is revealed in subtle details such as unexpected pops of colour hidden within the linings. A Monte Sharp piece feels timeless and yet, daring – made to stand out in your wardrobe and outlive trends.

Walking into Monte Sharp for the first time immediately reveals that sustainability here isn’t purely a concept but is lived by the brand and embedded into the space itself. Instead of modernising the space beyond recognition, history is left to breathe through exposed textures and the preserved structural integrity of the building. A backdrop which allows Monte Sharp’s contemporary vision to naturally fall into.

What strikes a visitor of the store most is how the stores design embodies Monte Sharp’s commitment to upcycling. The space itself carries the same creative sustainability as their garments and accessories. At the centre of the room, what appears to be at first a display table reveals itself as the original wooden door of the building, transforming what already exists into something functional and aesthetic. Fusion between the old and new is echoed through every innovative detail, demonstrating that modern aesthetic can survive by reimagining the past, rather than replacing it.

As Florence’s fashion scene continues to balance its artistic legacy with the next generation of innovative designers, Monte Sharp claims its space in the fashion industry – refreshing, alluring and thoughtfully crafted for the future of Italian luxury styles.
