NataleperFile & Red Cross Holiday Markets

Two signature benefit markets are taking place in Florence from November 30 – December 2.

The 16th annual Nataleperfile Holiday Fair will be held Nov. 30 through Dec. 2 at the Palazzo Corsini from 10 am to 7 pm. The event is held to raise money for FILE (The Italian Foundation of Leniterapia onlus), an organization that provides home care to terminally ill people. Thanks to enthusiastic public participation, FILE raised more than €100,000 for these patients and their families in 2017 alone.

Exhibitors at the holiday fair will offer Christmas gifts such as clothing and accessories for women, men, and children, books, jewelry, cosmetics, food and wine, garden supplies and more and donate a portion of proceeds to FILE. The rooms of the Palazzo Corsini will host the “100% FILE” spaces: the File Bank which offers products donated by companies and supporters, the Vintage Room with clothes and accessories, the Food and Wine Corner, and Fuori Nataleperfile which sells vouchers donated by the best restaurants in Florence.

Along with the market, the public can find favorite holiday delicacies such as panettone and pandoro made by Corsini Biscotti and hand-packed by volunteers. Shoppers can also participate in Lotteriaperfile, a raffle with prizes from Italian and international companies. File Café by Desinare will provide refreshments at a relaxing place for breakfast, lunch, or just to take a break during the market.

The Christmas Market Exhibition of the Italian Red Cross is scheduled at the Palazzo Capponi at Lungarno Soderini 11. The event is a way to get a head start on Christmas shopping and help people suffering from poverty, disease, social reintegration, and families with disadvantaged children. Many different items can be found including: household items, paintings, art books, children’s books, decorations for Christmas, handmade bags, jewelry, and clothing.  (beatrice paolucci)
