Partial Reopening of Restaurants & Cafés

Bagels are back along with dishes and meals prepared by cooks and bakers in Phase 2 of the Coronavirus lockdown

Takeout is arriving in Florence and Tuscany in a big way.  Easing into Phase 2 of the current Coronavirus lockdown, the kitchens of restaurants, cafeterias, cafés, diners, pastry shops, pizzerias and artisanal chocolate shops in addition to gelaterie that make gelato by hand in the location where the product is sold, can re-open on Friday, April 24 in a way inspired by the handling of the health emergency in the United States.  These businesses will be receiving orders by phone and online, and have a choice of either making home deliveries or telling the customer when he or she can stop by.

Clients wearing masks can show up only at the time previously arranged, enter to pick up the order, pay, then leave.  For the moment, food cannot be served on the premises nor are sit-down lunches and dinners authorized, until at least mid-May at the earliest.
