Pioneering Men’s Fashion at Pitti Uomo 108

June 17 – 20, 2025: PITTI IMMAGINE UOMO 108. Fortezza da Basso, V.le Filippo Strozzi, 1. Open to buyers and the press Tuesday – Thursday 9 am – 6 pm, Friday 9 am – 4 pm.
The 108th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo trade fair will return to Florence’s Fortezza da Basso (Basso Fortress) this summer. The important bi-annual event is hosted in the city centre each January and June and celebrates men’s fashion in all its splendour, creativity, and innovation.
Pitti Uomo 108 will showcase men’s fashion collections for Spring/Summer 2026. The five sections of the trade fair are “Fantastic Classic,” “Future Maschile2 (Masculine Future), “Dynamic Attitude” ” Superstyling” and “I Go Out,” presenting bespoke tailoring with a contemporary touch, casual clothing, new trends and outdoors wear. The overall theme for this summer is Pitti Bikes and will thus focus on the life philosophy and style of cycling, as well as forward-thinking style research and experimentation, eclecticism, and creativity.
Like every year, Pitti Uomo 108 will host a plethora of fashion shows, press conferences, and drinks receptions. Many events are invitation only. Details on which are open to attend, as well as a full rundown of what’s on, is available on the official website’s calendar page: https://uomo.pittimmagine.com/en/events-calendar.
Over 700 fashion brands will be featured from all over the world, such as Ralph Lauren, Juicy Couture, Lisa Yang, Barbour, and CODE Korea. The summer’s guest designer is Niccolò Pasqualetti, whose experimental debut menswear collection was featured in the official Paris fashion week calendar. The Tuscan designer was also a LVMH Prize finalist in 2024.
Pasqualetti’s collection has been highly praised: according to Francesca Tacconi, Pitti Immagine’s Special Events Coordinator, it successfully unites, in un colpo d’occhio, sofisticatezza estetica e libertà espressiva (“in a glance, aesthetic sophistication and expressive freedom”). The designer’s new collection is notable for its experimentation with different materials, not to mention its bold reinterpretation of classic Italian codes of fashion: past and present, masculine and feminine, classic and contemporary all coexist in a refreshing, captivating way.
The Guest Collection of Honour is Homme Plissé, the late Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake’s pioneering casualwear brand. Homme Plissé, founded in 2013, boasts crease-resistant, fast-drying and “perfectly structured” menswear classics, thanks to its trailblazing garment pleating technique.
Thanks to the historical role Pitti Uomo has played in promoting men’s fashion, the show is now the first to be recognised as a ‘historical brand of national interest,’ as decided by the Ministry for Business, Made in Italy and the Patent and Trademark Office. The historical brand logo will now appear next to the company brand, marking an official attestation of ‘historic importance and heritage,’ commercial strengthening and brand awareness.
The very first Pitti fashion show was founded in February 1952 by Italian aristocrat Giovanni Battista Giorgini in Florence. This ‘First Italian High Fashion Show’ was hosted in Palazzo Pitti’s Sala Bianca and showcased Italy’s most important fashion brands. Giorgini invited key buyers and influencers from the United States to attend these early womenswear shows, inaugurating ‘Made in Italy’ as an internationally recognised mark of excellence in fashion. Twenty years later, Pitti Uomo was born, and the event became solely dedicated to men’s fashion.
