Qi Gong in Florence’s Botanical Garden

Saturdays, May 27, June 10 and 24:  Qi Gong at the Botanical Garden, via Micheli 3.  11 am – noon.  €10, includes admission to the park.

The Botanical Garden at the Giardino dei Semplici near Piazza San Marco is a green lush oasis in the heart of the bustling city. Patricia Muller, T’ai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong instructor will be holding classes among the wildflowers and bush lined paths every other Saturday into early summer.

Qi Gong refers to a series of exercises from Chinese medicinal practices that include meditation and breathing control. Like Tai Chi, the practice of Qi Gong can help the maintenance of good physical health and psychological wellbeing. Although the exercises are helpful for those who have a difficult time walking, the class is aimed at people of all ages.
