Shop Vintage to Help Home Health at FILE Market
Solidarietà (Solidarity), Florence’s vintage charity market returns to Palazzo Corsini from May 17 to 19. All proceeds go towards free palliative care services for those with serious illness and their families, this market is stocked with exclusively vintage clothing, accessories and homeware.
Organised by FILE (Fondazione Italiana di Leniterapia), Solidarità 2024 marks the ninth year of the market, completely supplied by vintage donations from supporters of the charity. This year the market will offer, for the first time, a ”File Home” section which will contain solely homewares, following a generous donation of this homeware from a lady from Monte Carlo and her group of friends, longtime supporters of the event and donors of goods to be sold.
The market will be selling women’s, men’s and children’s clothing as well as accessories, costume jewellery and now homeware. All goods will be of good vintage quality, coming from wealthy patrons of the cause. Last year’s market raised €70,000 for the charity, proving itself, once again, to be an important event for FILE and shopping enthusiasts alike.
Solidarità will be open from 11 am to 6 pm May 17-19, at Palazzo Corsini, Lungarno Corsini, 8. Admission into the market is free. For more information on the Vintage Market, call 055 2001212 (number active from Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 4.30 pm; on Fridays from 9 am to 3 pm).
