Signups for Firenze Marathon’s Four Races

 

Thousands of enthused runners will share the joy, excitement, and labor of running during Florence’s 40th annual marathon on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24. Runners have the option to complete the marathon or opt for several shorter races ranging from three to ten km.  

All runners will be provided with a chip, a medal, and end-of-race refreshments. Registration here 

San Benedetto Ginky Family Run – Saturday, November 23 

The Ginky Family run begins at 9 am and spans three kilometers (1.9 mi), starting and ending at Visarno Hippodrome. Open to all ages; adults pay €10, and children under 11 may register for free.  

Registration is open until Wednesday, November 20 online.

3x7km Charity Relay – Saturday, November 23 

Teams of three runners will each run a 7km (4.3 mi) leg of the 21k (13 mi) race starting at the Visarano Hippodrome at 10:30 am.  Each runner pays €10 and chooses a charity to donate their registration fee.

Registration is open until Wednesday, November 20 online and again on the day of the relay starting at 9 am unless bib number sell out.

10km – Sunday, November 24 

The 10km (6.2 mi) race will begin at 8:30 am at Via Tornabuoni and ends at San Giovanni. Open to runners ages 16+; registration fees range from €25-30.  

Registration is open until Wednesday, November 20 online.

Marathon – Sunday, November 24 

The 42.2 km (26.2 mi) marathon will start (8:30 am) and end at the Piazza Duomo, taking the runners along the Arno and through the city center.  

Online registration ends at midnight on November 15.

Race bibs are available for pickup on November 22 from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm and Saturday, November 23rd from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm at the Marathon Expo, located at Leopolda Station, Viale Fratelli Roselli 5, Porta a Prato. All racers must bring their registration confirmation letter to receive their bibs; bib numbers will be assigned in order of registration.  

The first three men and the first three women who cross the finish will receive awards.

For the runners feeling particularly celebratory post-run, Ditta Artigianale Hario Café on Via Giosuè Carducci 2/4r will be hosting an after party on Sunday, November 24. Tickets are €15 and include cocktails & tapas, and available for purchase on their website (Evelyn Sen)
