Silent Night March for Peace on September 20 From Sunset to the Light of Dawn

“From the Night of Fear to the Light of Dawn” is the theme of the silent march for peace open to the public starting on Saturday evening, September 20 at Comunità Le Piagge (piazza Ilaria Alpi and Miran Hrovatin, 2) and ending at 6:40 at San Miniato al Monte (via delle Porte Sante), above Piazzale Michelangelo).  Participants are asked to wear white, even simply a T shirt and not bring signs or placards commenting on war or politics, but rather on a theme of brotherhood and peace.

The organizers of the march — all the various religious and spiritual communities in Florence — aim “to foster hope and to create ties of friendship.”
