Vasari Corridor Evening Tours, Summer 2026

One of Florence’s most unique attractions is once again opening after dark. Beginning July 3, the Uffizi Galleries will bring back special evening tours of the Vasari Corridor, giving visitors the chance to experience the historic passageway at sunset and after nightfall.

Through November 20, the corridor will be open every Friday evening for guided visits. In total, 21 evening openings are planned, with tours taking place between 7 and 11 pm. Last admission will be at 9:50 pm, and each group will be limited to 25 people for a more relaxed experience.  Tours must be reserved at this link.

The Vasari Corridor officially reopened to the public in late 2025 following extensive restoration work, allowing visitors to once again walk the famous elevated route that connects the Uffizi Gallery to Palazzo Pitti. Designed by Giorgio Vasari in 1565 for the Medici family, the corridor crosses above the Ponte Vecchio and offers views of some of Florence’s most iconic landmarks.

While the corridor is impressive at any time of day, the evening openings offer a completely different atmosphere. Visitors can watch the city transition into sunset while walking above the Arno River and through one of the most fascinating spaces in Florence. The experience provides a quieter and more intimate way to explore a site that was once reserved exclusively for the Medici family.

According to the Uffizi Galleries spokesperson, visitors should arrive at least 10 minutes before their scheduled tour time. The meeting point is located in the Uffizi courtyard on the Loggia dei Lanzi side.

The evening tours are part of the Uffizi’s ongoing efforts to make its collections and historic spaces more accessible through special events and extended hours. Along with participating in initiatives such as European Museum Night and the European Heritage Days, the museum continues to introduce new ways for visitors to experience Florence’s artistic heritage.
