The FILE Vintage Market: Shopping for Good
Lover of vintage clothing and accessories? This weekend only, the Palazzo Corsini will hold a vintage market, where shoppers will be supporting a good cause, as the market will be fundraising in association with the File Foundation, which supports seriously ill patients in Tuscany.
The market will take place from Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 10, from 11 am to 6 pm. There is no entrance fee, and visitors are instructed to enter at Lungarno Corsini 8.
With over 10,000 clothing pieces for both men and women, such as coats, shoes, dresses, and sweaters, in addition to accessories and home decor items, kindly donated by the community, this event is sure to be worth a visit. The market will take place in the historic Palazzo Corsini, which is a 17th century building, renowned today for its rich art collection and as the venue for the International Antiques Biennial.
FILE (The Italian Foundation of Leniterapia onlus), particularly focuses on palliative care for individuals suffering from terminal and illnesses in advanced states, with assistance, support, and relief. The organization is a non-profit with a huge volunteer base, consisting of nurses, psychologists, physical therapists, and more. The last installment of this event raised €50,000 for patients and their families, so FILE hopes to meet or exceed that threshold of fundraising this weekend. (Piper Begler)
