The January 2022 ‘Domenica Metropolitan’ Free Museum Sunday

DOMENICA METROPOLITANA is when Florence’s city museums coordinate to give special access with no admission to residents of the greater  metropolitan area. On January 9, 2022, free museums of the ‘Domenica Metropolitana’ initiative include the Palazzo Vecchio (open 9 am – 7 pm), the Arnolfo Tower of Palazzo Vecchio (9 am – 5 pm), the Museo Novecento of 20th and 21st Century Art including entrance to the Jenny Saville show, (11 am – 8 pm), the Bardini Museum (11 am – 5 pm), in addition to Santa Maria Novella (1 – 5 pm) and the Palazzo Medici Riccardi (9 am – 6 pm), the latter also offers no-cost entrance to the Benozzo Gozzoli and the Magi Chapel exhibition. A photo ID with local address is necessary to secure this benefit.
