U.S. Consulate Saved for Three Years

Florence’s U.S. Consulate on Lungarno Vespucci received official word from the Embassy on June 30, 2025 that it will remain open for at least the next three years, through 2028. 

Possible permanent closure was announced in late April, 2025 after a 200+ year presence in Italy’s premier Renaissance city.
