Designer Clothes for Tots Unveiled at Pitti Bimbo 96

Kid’s fashion by Monnalisa

January 18 – 20, 2023. PITTI IMMAGINE BIMBO n.96. Fortezza da Basso, V.le Filippo Strozzi, 1, Florence.

Pitti Immagine, a leading collection of Italian fashion-centered trade shows, presents biannual exhibitions in the city center of Florence. Pitti Bimbo’s signature clothes for kids return to the Fortezza da Basso for its 96th edition, with this year’s theme PITTIWAY representing the 2023-24 winter collections that will be unveiled.

A creative vision displays itself amongst the walls and rooms of the Fortezza to showcase kidswear amongst the many fashion directions, described as a ‘compass’ by Agostino Poletto, general director of Pitti Immagine. Buyer participants are Italian and international, with 250 brands total and a 70% global presence.

Each participant features online at Pitti Immagine’s digital platform: Pitti Connect. Offering in-person activities and social applications allows those not in attendance to feel a part of the amazing experience.

Offered in person at the Fortezza and on Pitti Connect are PITTI BIMBO EDITORIALS, including My First Snow and Cool School. Both editorials induce nostalgia from their viewers, spelling out coming-of-age narratives relating to childrenswear, from ski slope fashions to back-to-school accessories. The stories ignite memories of childhood, from back- to-school shopping to winter vacation.

The event’s itinerary fills two areas of the Fortezza da Basso to showcase the kidswear interactively and dynamically; 100% Bimbo and The Kids’ Lab!

100% Bimbo showcases trends from street style to classic fabrics, practical pieces, and party wear patterns. The fair will present an array of fashion pieces of childrenswear amongst traditional child-wear designers and major labels. 100% Bimbo creates the perfect children’s capsule closet centered around parents’ practicality and youthful imagination. Guests can find the exhibit on the Main pavilion’s ground floor and in the Ghaia pavilion.

The Kids’ Lab! presents global start-up labels with bold collections. Set up as a ‘kid’s laboratory,’ the eccentric collections will be located at the Cavaniglia Pavilion.

The kidswear debuts are not the only stars of the show during Pitti Bimbo, accompanied by additional events over the three-day-long trade show. Some of these events include:
