Upcoming Men’s Fashion at ‘Pitti Uomo’ 106
Housing many major fashion brands, studios and museums, Florence stands as one of the world’s leading fashion capitals, making it the ideal location to host Pitti Immagine Uomo (Pitti Man), the colossal menswear event held here biannually. Gathering together retailers, editors and fashion enthusiasts from around the globe, June 11 to 14 will be this year’s second installation of Pitti Immagine Uomo, marking 106 editions of the event, renowned as one of the leading trade fairs for men’s ready-to-wear clothing.
Florence’s historic and cultural significance, combined with its vibrant fashion scene, makes it the perfect backdrop for Pitti Uomo. As the event continues to evolve, it remains a dominant platform for the latest in men’s fashion, celebrating both tradition and innovation in equal measure.
Hosted in the 14th century Fortezza da Basso since 1982, Pitti Uomo continues to draw industry stars, 72 years after its inauguration as the first Italian High Fashion Show exclusively for men. Buyers and journalists attend runway shows of some of the most significant brands in menswear, maintaineing the event’s reputation as a forerunner for the latest fashion trends.
This year the event will feature eight distinctive sections, each offering a unique perspective on contemporary menswear: ‘Fantastic Classic’ which aims to celebrate the evolution of classic styles into their most innovative and contemporary forms, ‘Futuro Maschile’ which as its title suggests, explores diverse styles and trends in contemporary menswear.
‘Dynamic Attitude’ will highlight collections that merge at leisure and denim pieces, fusing sportswear and streetwear into cohesive looks. Also ‘Superstyling’ which follows the search for new stylistic codes that anticipates trends.
‘I Go Out’ which combines the passion for open spaces and nature with the most advanced styles, offering a fresh lifestyle perspective, ‘Scandinavian Manifesto’ which, of course, looks to centralise the Nordic fashion scene, bringing a spotlight to the innovative and minimalist designs from the region.
The third edition of ‘VINTAGE HUB Circular Fashion’ will present the most contemporary and innovative approach to the world of vintage and sustainable fashion and lastly ‘S|Style’ which is the exhibition project headed by the Pitti Discovery Foundation.
This year’s Pitti Immagine shows will feature the theme “PITTI LEMON,” symbolising summer, energy, and freshness. Coordinated by creative director Angelo Figus, and illustrated by Giordano Poloni, the campaign presents a playful, vibrant “Lemon City.” Emphasising a blend of naive spontaneity and artistic depth, the theme captures the essence of youth and creativity, highlighting the lemon’s various symbolic qualities. The campaign uniquely forgoes photos and videos, focusing instead on graphic art to explore an imaginative narrative.
French designer Marine Serre will be the Guest Designer at Pitti Immagine Uomo 106, debuting her new menswear collection on Wednesday, June 12. Celebrated for her innovative designs that blend classic French couture with sportswear and upcycled materials, Serre’s work emphasises sustainability and creativity. Her “Regenerated” practice, initiated in 2016, which uses end-of-life materials, is fundamental to her brand’s ethos and showcases her commitment to circular fashion. This event marks the official launch of her new men’s collection. Serre’s participation underscores her reputation as a revolutionary force in the fashion industry, bringing fresh and imaginative designs to Pitti Uomo.
Paul Smith has chosen to present his new Spring/Summer 2025 collection at the 106th Pitti Immagine Uomo. As a pioneer of tailoring and suitmaking, Paul Smith was one of the new-wave designers to inject freshness into the traditional aspects of formal attire. On the opening day of June 11, Paul Smith will contribute to the opening of the show with an exclusive event. As one of the very first guest designers at Pitti Immagine Uomo in 1993, Paul Smith states that this full circle return to Florence ”feels just like the right thing to do”.
Another French designer joining the event is Pierre Louis Cascia, who will be presenting his 2025 Spring/Summer collection with his first ever runway show, produced jointly with Pitti Immagine. Cascia commenced his fashion career sixteen years ago as an illustrator collaborating with the Uliassi brothers, experts in manufacturing and printing silk, to create a line of scarves. Cascia credits Pitti Uomo as a great help in the development of his career and brand. With a focus on high quality materials, luscious prints and rich tones and attempting to encompass his creative vision that combines nature, culture, art and a love for beauty, the designer promises to present something that is ”truly unique and surprising” on June 13 at 6 pm.
Plan C will officially launch its menswear collection at Pitti Immagine Uomo, debuting for Spring/Summer 2025. This special event will be held at the Fortezza da Basso’s Sala delle Grotte and will also preview Plan C’s women’s collection. Carolina Castiglioni, the creative director, showcases a minimalist yet contemporary aesthetic that blends classic and high-tech elements, transcending gender and seasonal confines.

Plan C combines tailoring, sportswear, and utility themes, reinterpreting pieces with masculine proportions for a timeless wardrobe.
