Easter Week Church Services in English

If you are looking for an English mass this Holy Week, fear not. Florence offers a few different types of options in English.

Santi Apostoli is a Catholic church in Florence located at Piazza Limbo 1 that offers a variety of church services in English. On Good Friday (March 30) there will be a 5 pm English mass, followed by Easter Vigil on Saturday at 7 pm. On Easter Sunday, Santi Apostoli will hold an English mass at 10:30 am.

Another English service is offered at St. James American Church located at Via Rucellai 9, near the Santa Maria Novella train station. This Episcopal church will hold a Good Friday noon and 6:30 pm service. On Saturday, March 31, the Easter Vigil will start at 6:30 pm; and finally, on Easter Sunday there will be at 9 and 11 am Eucharist followed by a reception and Easter egg Hunt.

The public is also are also invited to Saint Mark’s Anglican Church on via Maggio 16, across from Ponte Santa Trinita. On Good Friday is scheduled in Florence from 9 – 10 pm.  On Holy Saturday, March 31, the First Mass of Easter will be held at 8 pm. On Easter Sunday, the High Sung Mass of the Resurrection is at 10:30 am in Florence and at 5:30 pm at St. Peter’s in Siena. (molly hamilton)
