Free Romantic Music Concert in Florence’s Cathedral
The 21st edition of O Flos Colende series of sacred music concerts is sponsoring a classical music event on Tuesday, May 9 at 9:15 pm in the Duomo.
The program features Maometto II by Gioachino Rossini, an Ave Maria from Giuseppe Verdi’s Othello, Ridonami la Calma by Fracesco Paolo Tosti, and other spiritual songs by Mendelssohn, Saint-Saens, Reger, and Charles Gounod.
Featured soloists include soprano Alessandra Rezza, who has performed at the Opera of Rome and Berlin’s Deutsche Opera, along with Argentinian organist Diego Innocenzi, who is a professor at the Geneva Conservatory and a specialist in 19th and 20th century musical repertoire highlighted in the performance.
