With Christmas fairs are just around the corner, it truly is “beginning to look a lot like Christmas.” The annual charity event for the Associazione Nazionale Tumori (ANT) will kick off the season by opening its doors on Friday, Nov. 15 until Sunday, Nov. 17 from 10 am – 7 pm.

Palazzo Borghese (via Ghibellina, 110) will turn into a holiday market, a great opportunity to find designer gifts at a discounted price for friends and family to put under the tree. People can buy clothing, accessories, leather goods and perfumes donated by over 80 fashion houses, including Ferragamo, Moschino, Trussardi, Armani, Montblanc and more.

The event is organized by the ANT Delegation of Florence under the patronage of the Municipality of Florence in order to support home care and specialist assistance for cancer patients and their families in the greater metropolitan area. Tuscan farmers will offer the best of regional products such as wine, oil, honey, truffle based products and more to show solidarity towards cancer patients and to promote a healthy diet.

ANT is a non-profit organization dedicated to free care for cancer patients, and their families. Collaborators include doctors, nurses, psychologists, nutritionists, physiotherapists, pharmacists, other volunteers offer specialist home visits, including hygienic care and linen change, and provide transportation for patients from their home to the hospital if necessary. The event that links the world of fashion to that of solidarity in Florence is a yearly pre-holiday tradition. (mary filatova/additional reporting by sienna kirk)
