Children’s Lending Library’s Spooky Halloween Party

Calling all witches, monsters, ghosts, and skeletons: if you are looking to celebrate a fun Halloween this weekend, the Children’s Lending Library is the spookiest place to be. The library will be hosting a haunted party for children, complete with costumes, games, and of course, Halloween candy.

Held eerily below St. James Church, kids will find many ghoulish activities at the library. Those looking for a scare can run through a haunted house. Other bone-chilling activities for kids are face-painting, crafts, games, and a raffle with spooktacular prizes. No American Halloween would be complete without trick-or-treating and other gooey, delicious treats including decorated cakes and cupcakes as well as refreshments. The library will also have a sale of books and toys for those who want to bring the frights back home.

For families that want to experience a “Monster Mash,” for Halloween, come to the library on October 26, from 4-6 pm. For children over two, the entrance fee is €4 for members and €7 for non-members. Children under two and all accompanying adults are free. The proceeds will go towards maintaining the library’s large collection of children’s books in English and funding other activities and parties the library hosts throughout the year. The library is open Wednesday 10-12pm, Thursday 4-6pm, and Sunday 12-1pm. Memberships for families are €15 for the entire year.

You can find the creepy, crawly party in the undercroft of the St. James Church and more information at childrenslendinglibrary.wordpress.com. (jax viteznik)
