Firenze Bio, A New Organic Food Fair

Friday, March 23 – Sunday, March 25: FIRENZE BIO. Fortezza da Basso (1 Viale Filippo Strozzi, Florence) daily from 10 – 7 pm. Free admission.

Firenze Bio is a new major organic food fairs here in Florence with a focus on cooking ingredients. This market will showcase vendors who are dedicated to the highest quality organic products and community initiatives. The four main themes of the fair are organic food, body wellness products, eco-friendly daily life, and education.

Inside Fortezza da Basso, there will be a plentiful market where organic farms will share their products with the public through promotional activities and tastings and also direct sales. In the event space, Firenze Bio will also host conferences, cooking demonstrations, and will allow the opportunity for face-to-face communication with many Tuscan and a few other national organizations about the organic community.  

Throughout the weekend, local restaurants around Florence will also have special menus dedicated to the theme of organic food. (anna rosin)
