November Children’s Storytime at the British Institute

After a two year hiatus, the British Institute’s Storytime and Afternoon Tea is returning this month to the Library, Lungarno Guicciardini 9.

Thursday, November 25: Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, followed by Afternoon Tea

This event is in English and will take place in the Children’s Room of the Library, which is located on Lungarno Guicciardini 9. This program is designed for children aged 3 to 8, but all ages are welcome.

Author David McKee will tell the comical fable of Elmer the Patchwork Elephant on November 25 at 5 pm. To blend in with his fellow elephants, Elmer paints himself gray to conceal his patchwork-colored hide, which works until the disguise washes off in a rainstorm. Kids will participate in activities that will encourage confidence and the value of being oneself while celebrating the power of laughter.  Visitor can also enjoy afternoon tea and cakes from 4:30 to 6 pm. The It’s Storytime program is open to those with a day membership (€6) or a family membership, which can be obtained on the following page. To reserve a space for this event send an email to bif@britishinstitute.it.
