The Bardini Garden’s Easter Monday Treasure Hunt

The view of Florence from the Villa Bardini garden

Monday, April 1: EASTER TREASURE HUNT.  Free admission with mandatory reservation.

Grandi Gardini Italiani is hosting its annual treasure hunt at Villa Bardini Garden (Via de’ Bardi, 1). Designed for families with children aged 6 – 10, the treasure hunt encourages guests to explore the garden and make new observations and discoveries. When the hunt is completed, each visitor will receive a prize and become a ‘certified’ botanist.

The treasure hunt will take place from 10 am – 1 pm and 2 pm – 5 pm. To make a reservation, send an email to edu@stationutopia.com.

The garden, rich with rose beds, irises, hydrangeas and fruit trees, runs alongside part of Florence’s medieval wall.  Encompassed are English-style woods, baroque staircases and meadows decorated with around 200 statues, stone pots and vases. Fountains can also be found, now restored to their original appearance.

With the nearby grand Boboli Gardens, the Villa Bardini Garden easily goes unnoticed, yet now with the opportunity of visiting the Villa Bardini Garden for free, visitors can spend a quiet, relaxed day in a green space with a lovely view of Florence.  The day after Easter, Pasquetta, is a legal holiday in Italy.
